What personal data we collect

From Prospective clients and enquiries we may collect:

  • Name and contact details

  • Information you choose to share during an enquiry or initial meeting

From Clients we may collect:

  • Date of birth and identification documents

  • Financial information (income, assets, liabilities, pensions, investments)

  • Tax information

  • Information about your objectives, attitude to risk, and capacity for loss

  • Communications and meeting notes

  • Where relevant (for example, in connection with protection planning), we may process special category data such as health information. This is done with appropriate safeguards and only where necessary to provide suitable advice.

Why we collect your data (lawful basis)

Marketing communications

  • Becoming a client does not automatically mean you will receive marketing communications

These tools are used under human oversight and do not make automated decisions about you. All advice and recommendations are provided by a qualified adviser.

  • Professional advisers (such as accountants or solicitors), where relevant to your financial planning

  • Outsourced contractors and service providers (marketing, IT, admin)

All third parties are required to keep personal data secure and to use it only for agreed purposes.

How long we keep your data

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary:

  • Clients: normally at least 6 years after the end of our relationship, or longer where required by law or regulation

  • Prospective clients and enquiries: typically no longer than 12 months if no client relationship is established

Retention periods may be extended where required for regulatory, legal, or complaint-handling purposes.
