Having qualified as a Chartered Accountant in Leeds, I began my career in finance in Sydney, Australia. After returning to the UK, I moved into financial services before ultimately finding my passion in financial planning.

What I enjoy most about being a Financial Planner is helping people use their wealth to create the life they want to live. Everyone's goals are different, whether that's retiring earlier than expected, supporting children or grandchildren, travelling more, or simply having the confidence to enjoy life without financial worries. My role is to help turn those aspirations into a clear and achievable plan.

One of the most rewarding aspects of the job is supporting clients through life's big decisions and transitions. When things feel uncertain or overwhelming, being able to provide clarity, reassurance and a sense of direction is a privilege I never take for granted.

Outside of work, family life keeps me on my toes. My children are heavily involved in football, hockey, tennis and golf, so weekends are often spent cheering from the sidelines. When time allows, I still enjoy playing tennis and golf myself, although perhaps not quite as competitively as I once did.

Travel has always been a passion of mine and there are still plenty of destinations left on my list. I'd like to think there's still plenty of life left in both me and the backpack yet!
