Born in 1976. I was born in Bolton, but I have lived in Hertfordshire since 2000, in St Albans. I have lived in America for nearly 2 years working and studying between 1997 – 1999.

Education
2000: 2(ii) Degree in American Studies at Hull University, 1996 – 2000.
Financial Services
2000-2001: Certificate for Financial Advisers (CEFA) parts 1, 2, and 3 (Fully qualified financial adviser).
2000: Certificate in Mortgage Advice & Practice (CEMAP) Pass with merit.
2001: Authorised to conduct business as an Independent Financial Adviser.
2002: Approved as a competent Independent Financial Adviser.
2002: Passed all continuous assessments authorising individual to operate as an Independent Financial Adviser.
2007: Passed JO4 – Pensions exam
Previous Experience
Joined Canada Life in September 2000. Joined The Mortgage Professionals in December 2000. Became an Independent Financial Adviser in April 2001. Set up Wealth Matters in December 2001. From 2001 – 2005 I worked as an Independent Financial Adviser and Mortgage Broker. Started working as a Financial Planner in mid 2005 until present.
My experience
I have a solid overall understanding of the financial services industry. I advise my clients in the following areas of finance: pensions, protection plans and trusts, investments, savings plans, health insurance, tax planning and Inheritance Tax. Although I have a good generic knowledge, the areas where I have specialist knowledge are: pension planning, savings and investments, including portfolio structure and analysis. In addition, I have access to specialist professionals in related industries. Clients are acquired mainly through personal recommendations or introductions. I work mostly with investment bankers, barristers, contractors and company directors.
