Will Writing Service

Having a will written is one of the first things that any adult should do, if they are serious about their financial future. Dying without a will could mean that money is given to people other than the deceased would have wished. This is known as dying “intestate” and the solicitor is forced to use a prescriptive set of rules to decide who receive receives the estate; these rules are often wholly inappropriate is don’t reflect the wishes of the deceased person. If a married couple died together without a will, their children could automatically go into state care, no matter who is left to care for the children.

Older clients are often concerned about having to sell the family home to fund long term care. However, with careful and early planning, people's homes can be largely protected from the Government means test calculations in a perfectly legal fashion.

Marcos Kallou, our will writing specialist is an expert in the field. He has over six years experience in Will Writing. Whatever situations are faced by our clients he is able to help. He can offer advice to unmarried couples, couples with young children, couples with disabled children, those worried about re-marriage and those who want to protect assets from long term care costs. He is also able to advise on and prepare the new Lasting Powers of Attorney. If you do not currently have a Will or your Will is more than 6 years old we would be happy to get Marcos to speak with you.

Our rates are very competitive and a will can be set up for less than you may think. We offer home visits, including evenings. As a member of the Institute of Professional Will Writers, Wealth Matters are fully insured, fully trained, fully CRB-checked and fully regulated.

To book an appointment, please contact Wealth Matters on 01582 720511.
