Julian Gilbert
Director

|
Julian has worked in financial services since 1999. He joined the industry working as a tied agent then an independent financial adviser and now operates as a Financial Planner. He has attained Certificates in Financial Advice 1, 2 and 3 (CeFA exams), has his certificate in mortgage advice and practice (CeMAP) and has passed the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) Savings and Investment exam, G60 Pensions, JO1 Taxation and JO2 Trust exams. Julian has a 2(i) degree in business administration, and is the driving force behind Wealth Matters. Julian is qualified to advise in all areas of financial planning and specialises in financial planning, pension planning and investment advice.

Paul Cleworth
Director

Paul also started out as an adviser with Canada Life in September 2000, and then became a fully independent financial adviser in April 2001. He has attained the certificate in financial advice in 2002, by passing CF1, CF2, CF3, CF4, CF5 and CF6 (together with the Certificate in Mortgage Advice and Practice (CeMAP) with merit). He has since this passed the Chartered Insurance Institute Exams J01 (Taxation), J04 (Pension funding) and J05 (Pension income options) to be awarded with the prestigious Diploma in Financial Planning. Paul is qualified to advise in all areas of financial planning and specialises in pension planning, protection, investment advice and inheritance tax planning.

Mike Shaw

|
Mike has worked in the financial services industry since 1989 and has always worked in the independent sector, initially working with the Investment Practice advising the medical profession before establishing his own practice in 1994. He attained and holds all the necessary certificates in financial planning and merged his practice with Wealth Matters in 2010 to enhance the in house services, which were becoming more and more necessary to provide his clients due to changes in the financial services industry. Mike still specialises in advising the medical profession and has a passion to make good quality, independent advice available for all and not just the elite few.

Bruce Nash |
After graduating with honours from Portsmouth University in Civil Engineering, Bruce gained experience in corporate management and consulting before becoming a fully qualified independent financial adviser in 2000. He has passes with merit/distinction in CeFA one, two and three and a distinction in the certificate of mortgage advice and planning (CeMAP). Bruce is qualified to give advice in all areas of financial planning, but is the companies mortgage and property specialist.

Deborah Caulfield |
Deborah began working within the financial industry in 1988. Before joining Wealth Matters, she gained a wide range of experience with Lloyds TSB across both personal and business sectors before moving on to Bradford & Bingley. Debs passed all the relevant modules to attain her Certificates in Financial Services and Practice through the Chartered Institute of Bankers in 1999. She went on to attain full CeMAP qualifications in 2001 to enable her to offer advice on all aspects of mortgage business.

Vivien Powell
|
Vivien is our Office Manager. She joined the company in May 2006. She has worked for over 25 years in the financial services industry and has brought with her a wealth of industry experience and professional customer service. Vivien is currently studying towards her Financial Planning Certificate. Vivien is the back bone to the Wealth Matters administration team. She overseas the office administrators and reviews all office processes and back office systems. Vivien has a thorough understanding of all the required compliance procedures and office protocols.

Dawn Ashworth
|
Dawn joined the company as an office administrator in November 2006. Whilst being relatively new to financial services, Dawn has progressed to become a Trainee Paraplanner and has already started attaining industry exam qualifications. She is a quick learner and has good attention to detail. Dawn is a very capable report writer and has a solid understanding of pensions, savings and investments. She is partiularly competent on computers and is very knowledgable on our back office software and systems.

Kevin Smith
|
Kevin joined the company in January 2008 as a para-planner. He has worked in the financial services industry for the last 12 years and currently holds the full Financial Planning Certificate. He is presently studying towards gaining Advanced Financial Planning Certificate. Kevin is particularly competent in the subject of pensions - both personal and occupational. As well as preparing client reports and submitting business, Kevin also assists with portfolio and fund analysis for our unique investment proposition - WRAPS™

Marcos Kallou
|
Marcos has been a fully qualified Will Writer and Estate Planner since 2003. He is a full member of the Institute of Professional Will Writers and is one of their London-based invigilators. He is fully qualified to give advice on all types of will. Such wills, include specific wording relevant to inheritance tax planning, long term care protection, as well as with regards to those with disabled children. He is fully insured up to £2million pounds. He does not use software and all wills are written bespoke to fit each client’s individual needs. He has a 2:1 Honours Degree in Business Studies.
