Born in 1963, I live in Chorleywood in Hertfordshire. I am married and have four children.
Qualifications
Education
Trained and qualified as an Aeronautical Engineer with British Airways after leaving school, moving to a product development role and then into financial services in 1989.
Financial Services
1989-1994: Certificate in Financial Planning part 1&2.
1994-2009: Certificate in Financial Planning part 3.
1994-2009: Mortgage Advisers Qualification form the Chartered Insurance Institute.
Previous Experience
Joined the Investment Practice in 1989. Set up Independence Direct Consulting in 1994. Gained all necessary qualifications to act as an Independent Financial Adviser.
Previously worked as assistant product development manager at Mitsubishi Electric UK after leaving British Airways having qualified as an Aeronautical Engineer.
My experience
Having worked in the independent sector for 20 years I have gained vast experience of the industry and established a client bank based on service and accountability.
My driving desire is to offer plain English independent advice to those who need it, and to educate clients away from the sales and commission culture associated with the industry to an understanding of good quality advice and service, paid for at the point of delivery.
